our approach
With over 20 years’ experience in search and selection we understand that each assignment we undertake is different. We will find a way to suit your needs, we offer an extensive range of services including contingency and retained search for both permanent and interim hires. We don't feel compelled to follow standard methodologies we prefer to work more creatively using a range of tools and techniques but this might leave you wondering why you should talk to us and what we do to solve your challenges. So roughly speaking here’s how things might unfold...
brief |
We take the time to understand your company and its culture, for us this is as important as having a clear understanding of the specification. If possible we'd like to meet with the hiring manager. We listen carefully to your requirements and constructively challenge the specification. If you're unsure what the specification should look like we can help create this.
research
The essence of a good search is getting this stage to dig deep and identify individuals with the right potential match to the brief. We have an extensive candidate database and a professional network of introducers who can assist us with their knowledge of the best individuals out there.
selection
We telephone interview individuals to help narrow the selection to those that we wish to meet. We do not give our candidates an easy ride, we'll meet them and spend time getting to know them, understanding their career aspirations, challenge their CV and may use psychometrics but we will always take informal references from past managers to check their credentials. We ensure you only meet with a shortlist of individuals that match your brief.
offer
Having found the person, you want to hire we look at ways to build the bridges that mean your budget is not overspent. We also make sure any counter offers are rejected.
onboarding
To ensure your new hire makes a flying start we can use a 360 feedback assessment based on specified criteria to check things are moving in the right direction.
